Roz Savage MP concludes summer tour with 17 ‘Meet Your MP’ events across South Cotswolds

Roz Savage MP has completed her month-long summer tour of the South Cotswolds, holding 17 open ‘Meet Your MP’ sessions across towns and villages from 28 July to 28 August.
The tour took Roz to Cirencester, Malmesbury, Tetbury, Fairford, Cricklade, Lechlade and a dozen villages including Kingswood, Purton, Somerford Keynes, Down Ampney, South Cerney, Siddington, Minety, Brinkworth, Yatton Keynell, Sherston and Kington Langley.
The drop-in events gave local people the chance to share their views, raise concerns, and have a straightforward chat with their MP - whether in a village hall, a community centre, or out on the pavement in Cirencester and Malmesbury.
Reflecting on the tour, Roz said:
“It’s been a real privilege and a pleasure to meet so many people across the South Cotswolds this summer. From Cirencester’s busy marketplace to small village halls, every conversation has mattered. People talked about GP and dentist access, rural transport, and affordable housing, but also about their hopes for farming, stronger communities, and protecting the countryside we all love.
“What struck me most was how constructive and thoughtful those conversations were. I came away inspired by the resilience and creativity I saw - from volunteers keeping services going, to neighbours helping each other, to small businesses full of energy and ambition. Those stories will stay with me as I continue my work locally and in Westminster.”
Alongside the public sessions, Roz also visited foodbanks, libraries and community cafés, seeing first-hand the difference they make in people’s lives.
Roz added:
“My aim is to be an accessible, community-focused MP - someone people can talk to directly and who listens carefully. This summer tour was part of that, and I’m grateful to everyone who came along. The conversations we had will shape my work in the months ahead.”
