One year on from General Election, Roz Savage MP launches Stronger South Cotswolds - a new digital hub for grassroots community action

To mark her first anniversary as Member of Parliament for the newly formed South Cotswolds constituency, Roz Savage MP is proud to launch Stronger South Cotswolds—a brand new website built to celebrate, support and connect the community groups making a difference across our area.
The site www.strongersouthcotswolds.co.uk has been designed as a growing, people-powered platform where local residents can share grassroots projects, celebrate success stories, and access practical tools to help families and communities thrive.
One year ago, the Liberal Democrats made history, winning 72 seats, including in the South Cotswolds. Since then, Roz has been standing up for the community and delivering on key campaign pledges.
Sitting half in Wiltshire and half in Gloucestershire, the parliamentary constituency of South Cotswolds is a vibrant mix of towns, villages and countryside. Stronger South Cotswolds is about bringing these communities together - amplifying what unites them, learning from each other, and supporting those working hardest to make a difference locally.
“Over the past year, I’ve seen first-hand the extraordinary efforts of people supporting one another through incredibly tough times,” said Roz.
“With the rising cost of living putting real pressure on families, carers, and community services, this site is about recognising and celebrating our ‘Local Legends’ - groups who are stepping up to help neighbours, feed communities, host spaces to connect, protect the environment, and create a more thriving future for all of us.”
The website is built around the values of equality, environmental care, and community. It offers:
- A directory of community groups and projects
- A space to share local events, training and volunteering
- Access to funding and grant opportunities
- Inspiration and practical ideas from across the region
Whether it’s a community larder, warm hub, repair café, buddy scheme or nature conservation group, everyone is welcome, and every contribution matters.
The site has just launched and will grow over time through public contributions. Groups of all sizes are invited to submit their details, events, and stories about the good things happening in our area. It’s a space for collaboration, connection, and celebration—open to all, regardless of background or budget.
Roz and her team are also planning to bring local groups together in person to continue building connections and community strength.
